Residential schools under Ministry of Defence preparing students for the Indian Armed Forces. Harder than JNV — especially Maths. Boys and girls both eligible since 2021. One application covers multiple Sainik Schools across India.
Five elite boarding schools directly under the Indian Army. More selective than Sainik Schools. Two-stage process — written CET in December followed by interview and medical in Feb–March. Class 6 open to boys and girls. Class 9 boys only.
Karnataka state government residential school offering free education to Karnataka students. Syllabus overlaps about 70% with JNV — students preparing for Navodaya can cover Morarji prep simultaneously with very little extra effort.

What do parents say about Elite IIT
Navodaya coaching in Bangalore?
"My daughter cleared JNV in the very first attempt. The MAT practice sessions were the game changer — she was solving patterns I had never even seen before. Small batch meant the teacher actually noticed when she was struggling."
"We joined 8 months before the Navodaya exam. The mock tests were in exactly the same format as the real paper — my son said the actual exam felt very familiar. He was selected. Couldn't ask for more."
"What I appreciated most was the individual error report after every mock. I knew exactly where my child stood — not at the end of term but after every single test. That level of feedback is not available anywhere else in Bangalore."
"We prepared for both Sainik School and Navodaya simultaneously. Elite IIT handled both without confusing the syllabus. The Maths level for Sainik was noticeably harder in their practice sets. My son cleared the Sainik School written exam."
"Only about 15 students in the batch. The teacher knew my daughter's name, knew her weak subjects, and adjusted doubt sessions accordingly. This does not happen in large coaching centres with 60 students in one room."
"Joined online as we are in Tumkur and commuting to Bangalore daily was not practical. The online sessions were as good as classroom — live, interactive, same teacher. My son appeared for JNV and we are very confident about the result."

Is Navodaya coaching necessary or
can my child self-study?
Several students clear JNV every year through self-study. That is a fact. The question is not whether coaching is necessary — it is whether coaching will improve your child's specific outcome given where they are starting from.
- ✓Child is scoring above 80% in practice papers consistently
- ✓Strong Mental Ability skills — patterns and figures come naturally
- ✓10+ months before the target exam date
- ✓Parent can source and review previous year papers regularly
- →MAT is a weak area — patterns and figures are unfamiliar
- →Child has never seen the JNV paper format before
- →Less than 6 months before the exam
- →Preparing for multiple exams — JNV + Sainik + Morarji
- →Child needs structured mock tests and external accountability
The value of Navodaya coaching is not the content — NVS provides sample papers. The value is in the structure, the MAT-specific training, the mock test feedback loop, and the accountability. Self-study can cover the syllabus. Coaching covers the gaps.
Questions parents ask before enrolling
for Navodaya coaching in Bangalore
At Elite IIT batches are capped at under 20 students so each child gets individual attention. Faculty tracks every student's performance across all three sections — not just the overall score — and adjusts the teaching plan accordingly.
Ideal start time: 8–12 months before the target exam phase. Students who join earlier get more mock test cycles and revision rounds. Students joining 3–4 months before the exam receive an accelerated programme covering the same content in less time.
Sainik School (AISSEE) — typically January. RMS CET — December. Contact your nearest branch for exact batch start dates.
Important: A student can appear for JNV Class 6 only ONCE. There is no second attempt. This makes structured preparation with regular mock tests especially important — there is no fallback.
At Elite IIT students preparing for all three cover the common syllabus once. Exam-specific sections — like AISSEE's harder Maths or Morarji's Karnataka Language paper — are handled in dedicated modules. This is more efficient than three separate coaching programmes.
Weekend-only batches are available for students who cannot attend on weekdays. Contact your nearest branch for current timings.

Free government coaching programmes for Navodaya exist in some Karnataka districts through Zilla Panchayat or social welfare departments. These are typically large-group sessions without individual feedback or a mock test series. Contact your district education office for information on such programmes.
This changes everything: feedback after each mock test is individual not class-wide, faculty knows each child's weak areas, and doubt sessions are scheduled with 24-hour resolution rather than "if time permits in class".
Ask any centre you visit: what is your actual batch size? Can I sit in a class before paying? Those two questions will tell you everything.
• Jayanagar: ₹6,000–₹12,000/month (shared, with meals)
• Koramangala: ₹7,000+/month (shared)
• Malleshwaram: ₹5,000–₹10,000/month
• Yelahanka: ₹5,000–₹9,000/month (most affordable)
