What is the SAT and who should take it?
Tests your ability to analyse and interpret information from passages across literature, history, social studies, and science. The Digital SAT uses an adaptive two-module format — your performance in Module 1 determines the difficulty of Module 2.
Tests algebra, advanced math, problem-solving, and data analysis. The good news: calculator is allowed throughout both modules on the Digital SAT. The adaptive format means stronger students get harder (and higher-scoring) questions in Module 2.

Is SAT coaching necessary or can you self-prepare?
The SAT is a skills-based test, not a knowledge-based one. The concepts themselves aren't difficult — what trips students up is the question format, the adaptive structure, and time pressure. Coaching addresses all three. But that doesn't mean everyone needs it equally.
- ✓Your English comprehension is already strong (consistent 85%+ in school)
- ✓You're comfortable with Class 10–11 Math concepts
- ✓You have 8–12 months before your test date
- ✓You're disciplined enough to attempt and analyse 10+ full mocks on your own
- ✓Your target score is 1200 or below
- →You're targeting 1350+ for competitive US universities
- →You struggle with evidence-based reading or long passage questions
- →You have less than 4 months and need structured coverage fast
- →You've attempted SAT once and want to improve your score by 100+ points
- →You need accountability to stay consistent with practice
Coaching won't replace reading widely or doing independent practice between classes. What it does give you is a structured sequence (so you don't waste weeks on low-impact topics), strategy for the adaptive format, and someone who can identify your specific error patterns and fix them. If you want to know whether coaching makes sense for your specific situation, call us — we'll give you an honest answer even if it means recommending self-study.

Students applying to undergrad colleges must take the SAT, which is a standardised test conducted by the College Board. The Scholastic Assessment Test, formerly referred to as the Scholastic Aptitude Test, is the full name of the SAT. The SAT test was created to assess candidates’ written, oral, and numerical abilities. The SAT assessment is needed for the candidates who aspire to explore undergraduate degrees options, primarily in the United States and Canada.
If a student wants to get into a specific course, he or she can take the SAT topic tests to demonstrate their knowledge and mastery of that subject. Subject tests are available in
History, Literature, Science, Foreign Languages, and Mathematics among other subjects.
How to apply for SAT
Students who wish to take the SAT must first register for the exam. The SAT is a significant exam for students who desire to pursue their bachelor’s degree in one of the top study abroad nations, such as the United States or Canada. Students can apply for the SAT using either the traditional mail-in technique or the more convenient online alternative. Applicants using the online approach must first establish a login id on the portal before proceeding with the enrollment process.
A Quick Update on SAT 2021 Covid-19 Guidelines!
Test centres are not operating at full capacity as a result of COVID-19. Candidates can register for the SAT and SAT Subject Tests this academic year and schedule their exam times. During registering, they can verify the availability of a test facility near them. Moreover, as the SAT is being phased out, several universities throughout the world are adopting a test-optional policy.

Exam Pattern for SAT 2021
The three parts of the new SAT test format 2019 are mathematics, evidence-based reading and writing, and the elective essay section. To help you understand the SAT examination style better, we’ve broken down each section into its own subsection.
Evidence-based reading and writing (EBRW) section:
This component of the SAT assesses your English language skills and assigns a score between 200 and 800. It is further separated into reading and writing components, with the aggregate score of both determining the final result.
Reading section:
The SAT exam’s reading part lasts 65 minutes and contains 52 multiple-choice questions. These questions focus on five texts, and they are all evidence-based questions for the candidate to analyse and understand the material in the readings.
Single passages or passages with informational graphics such as charts or tables may be used. The excerpts are from American and international literature, culture and current affairs, and science. You must read the chapter carefully and respond to the questions in the manner expected or requested in the replies.
Writing Section:
The SAT Writing and Language part lasts 35 minutes and includes 44 multiple choice questions based on the four passages. This section assesses your ability to analyse and edit the passage’s content, which means you’ll need to correct grammar and make any changes. You must edit/fix faults in the passage’s sentences, locate sentences that remedy graphical data misinterpretation, and choose sentences that sharpen a statement or provide a significant-good explanation.
The questions in this section can be divided into two categories: Standard English Convention questions, in which you will be asked to correct grammatical and punctuation errors in the given passage, and Expression of Idea questions, in which you will be asked to improve the passage’s language as well as the structure and organisation of the idea illustrated in the paragraph.
SAT Mathematics section:
The SAT Mathematics portion assesses your mathematical reasoning abilities, and you will be scored on a scale of 200 to 800 points. This segment is 80 minutes long and includes 58 questions, with 80 per cent of the questions being multiple-choice, but the remaining 20% being student-produced feedback questions known as Grid-ins, where the learner must fix the problem and enter an answer by circling/shading the correct feedback rather than just choosing from four answer options.
This section is divided into two sections: No Calculator and Calculator, with 15 multiple choice questions and 5 grid-ins in the No Calculator section and 30 multiple choice questions and 8 grid-ins in the Calculator section. Before the test, you will be given a set of formulas to use as a reference.
